FRONT BUMPER REASSEMBLY


  1. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT


    1. A0163CI

      Install the front bumper reinforcement with the 6 bolts.

      Torque:
      70 N*m  { 714 kgf*cm, 52 ft.*lbf }

    2. Install the cooler (ambient temp sensor) thermistor with the clamp.

    3. Install the radiator support opening cover with the 2 clips.

  2. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

      Install the front bumper energy absorber.

  3. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH


    1. A0161YM

      Engage the 2 claws and install the front bumper side retainer LH.

    2. Install the screw.

  4. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  5. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RETAINER

      Engage the 2 claws and install the 2 front fender liner retainers.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  6. INSTALL LOWER FRONT BUMPER COVER


    1. A0162XG

      Engage the 2 claws and install the lower front bumper cover.

  7. INSTALL FOG LIGHT COVER LH


    1. A01637K

      Engage the 4 claws and install the fog light cover LH.

  8. INSTALL FOG LIGHT COVER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  9. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION MOUNTING BRACKET

      Engage the 2 claws and install the front bumper extension mounting bracket.

    2. Install the 2 screws.

  10. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR GRILLE


    1. A0161R6

      Engage the 14 claws and install the lower radiator grille.

  11. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE EMBLEM (w/o Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)

    Tech Tips

    When installing the radiator grille emblem, heat the radiator grille and radiator grille emblem using a heat light.

    Heating Temperature
    Item Temperature
    Radiator Grille 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    Emblem 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the radiator grille and radiator grille emblem excessively.


    1. Clean the radiator grille surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the radiator grille surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the radiator grille.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Clean the radiator grille emblem (if reusing the radiator grille emblem).


      1. Using a heat light, heat the radiator grille emblem.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the radiator grille emblem.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

      4. Apply new double-sided tape to the radiator grille emblem.

    3. Install the radiator grille emblem.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the radiator grille and radiator grille emblem.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the radiator grille emblem.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

        Install the radiator grille emblem.

  12. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE EMBLEM (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)


    1. A0162WO

      Engage the claw and install the radiator grille emblem.

    2. Install the 2 spring nuts.

  13. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE


    1. A015Z2Q

      Engage the 6 claws and install the radiator grille.

    2. Install the 2 clips.

  14. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE ASSEMBLY


    1. A015YJE

      Engage the 15 claws and 2 guides, and install the radiator grille assembly.

    2. Install the 2 clips.

  15. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE PROTECTOR


    1. A01616L

      Engage the 15 claws and install the radiator grille protector.

  16. INSTALL HEADLIGHT HOSE


    1. A015Z2G

      Engage the 7 clamps and install the headlight hose.

  17. INSTALL HEADLIGHT WASHER ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A015YXXE01

      Engage the 2 claws.

    2. Install the headlight washer actuator sub-assembly with the bolt.

    3. Connect the hose joint and the headlight cleaner hose.

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  18. INSTALL HEADLIGHT WASHER ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

  19. INSTALL HEADLIGHT CLEANER WASHER NOZZLE LH

      Engage the 2 claws and install the headlight cleaner washer nozzle.

  20. INSTALL HEADLIGHT CLEANER WASHER NOZZLE RH

  21. INSTALL NO. 4 ENGINE ROOM WIRE (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)

      Engage the 13 clamps and install the No. 4 engine room wire.

  22. INSTALL NO. 3 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)
