STOP LIGHT CONTROL RELAY INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT STOP LIGHT CONTROL RELAY


    1. A015YYNE13

      Disconnect the J99 stop light control relay connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J99-2 (STP) - Body ground Brake pedal released Below 1 V
      Brake pedal depressed 11 to 14 V
      J99-6 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

      If the result is not as specified, there is a malfunction on the wire harness side.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J99-4 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, there is a malfunction on the wire harness side.

    4. A0160Q2E06

      Reconnect the J99 stop light control relay connector.

    5. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J99-8 (OUT) - Body ground Brake pedal released Below 1 V
      Brake pedal depressed 11 to 14 V

      If the result is not as specified, replace the stop light control relay.
