HIGH INTENSITY DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT BULB REMOVAL


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

      Using a clip remover, remove the 9 clips and cool air intake duct seal.

  3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH (for LH Side)

  4. REMOVE WASHER HOSE (for LH Side)

      Remove the bolt and the washer hose.

  5. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH

    for LHD Click here

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET (for RH Side)

      Remove the bolt, clip and No. 1 air cleaner inlet.

  7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

      Loosen the 2 hose clamps and separate the 2 ventilation hoses.

      Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector and separate the wire harness clamp.

    3. A015ZWF

      Loosen the hose clamp and separate the air cleaner hose.

    4. A015YT4

      Unlock the 2 clamps and remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly.

  8. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

      Remove the 2 clamps and disconnect the vacuum hose.

    2. A015ZYF

      Remove the clamp and disconnect the vacuum switching valve connector.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts and air cleaner case sub-assembly.

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT BACK COVER

      Remove the No. 1 headlight back cover as shown in the illustration.

  10. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT COVER GASKET


    1. Remove the No. 1 headlight cover gasket.

      Note

      After the No. 1 headlight cover gasket is removed, be sure to replace it with a new one. Failure to do this may cause water ingress.

  11. REMOVE DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT BULB

      Separate the light control ECU socket as shown in the illustration.

    2. A0160ACE01

      Release the set spring and remove the discharge headlight bulb as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Do not touch the bulb glass.
