LIGHTING SYSTEM Rear Fog Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU LH receives rear fog light switch information from the combination switch, and turns on the rear fog lights.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Body No. 3/ Active Test.

    5. Check the operation.

      Body No. 3 (Main Body ECU LH)
      Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Rear Fog Light Rear fog lights ON/OFF -
      OK
      Rear fog lights illuminate.

    INSPECT FUSE (RR FOG) Click here

    OK

    PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Click here

  2. INSPECT FUSE (RR FOG)


    1. Remove the RR FOG fuse from the No. 1 junction block.

    2. Measure the resistance of the fuse.

      Standard Resistance
      Below 1 Ω

    NG

    REPLACE FUSE

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU LH - BATTERY)


    1. A0161D1E03

      Disconnect the LM junction block connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      LM-1 (RFRL) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

    OK

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU LH - BODY GROUND)


    1. Connect the LM junction block connector.

    2. A0161AJE02

      Disconnect the LJ junction block connector.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      LJ-25 - Body ground Light control switch HEAD and rear fog light switch ON 11 to 14 V

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU LH (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK LH)

    OK

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
