DESCRIPTION

The sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly (sliding roof ECU) receives switch slide and tilt signals and drives its built-in motor.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note


  • When the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly (sliding roof ECU) is reinstalled or replaced, the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly must be initialized Click here.

  • Since the sliding roof system has functions that use BEAN communication, first confirm that there is no malfunction in the communication system by inspecting the BEAN communication functions in accordance with the How to Proceed with Troubleshooting procedure. Then, conduct the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (SLIDING ROOF OPERATION)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Sliding Roof / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the intelligent tester.

  2. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Sliding Roof / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the intelligent tester.

    1. Remove the S/ROOF and ECU-IG LH fuses from the cowl side junction block LH.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDING ROOF ECU - BATTERY, BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the R6 ECU connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
