REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
Using a clip remover, remove the 9 clips and cool air intake duct seal.
REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH (for LHD)
Remove the 5 clips and engine room side cover LH.
REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH (for RHD)
Remove the 4 clips and engine room side cover LH.
REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH (for LHD)
Remove the 3 clips and engine room side cover RH.
REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH (for RHD)
Remove the 4 clips and engine room side cover RH.
REMOVE FRONT UPPER FENDER PROTECTOR LH
Separate the clip on the rubber portion of the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly from the front upper fender protector LH.
Disengage the 4 clips and the claw to remove the front upper fender protector LH.
REMOVE FRONT UPPER FENDER PROTECTOR RH
Tech Tips
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
REMOVE ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING LH
Put protective tape around the roof drip side finish moulding.
Using a moulding remover, disengage the 6 clips and remove the roof drip side finish moulding.
Note
Do not remove the clips.
If the clips are damaged or dropped off, replace them with new clips.

REMOVE NO. 1 WINDSHIELD OUTSIDE MOULDING CLIP

Perform the following procedure if replacing the No. 1 windshield outside moulding clips.
Remove the 5 No. 1 windshield outside moulding clips.
REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP
Using a screwdriver, remove the front wiper arm head cap.

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH
Remove the nut and the front wiper arm and blade assembly LH.
REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH
Remove the nut and the front wiper arm and blade assembly RH.
REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the 2 clips.
Disengage the 11 claws and pull out the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
Put protective tape around the front door scuff plate.
Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 clips.
Disengage the 7 claws and remove the front door scuff plate LH.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH
Disengage the 4 claws and remove the front door opening trim cover LH.
REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH
Disengage the 2 clips from the vehicle body.
Cut off the clip <A>.
Disengage the guide and remove the front pillar garnish LH.
Remove the clip <A> from the vehicle body.
Protect the curtain shield airbag assembly.
Thoroughly cover the airbag with a cloth or nylon sheet and fix the ends of the cover with adhesive tape, as shown in the illustration.
Note
Cover the curtain shield airbag with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish is removed.

REMOVE INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR STAY HOLDER COVER
Disengage the 2 claws and remove the inner rear view mirror stay holder cover as shown in the illustration.
REMOVE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (w/o Sliding Roof)
Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws and open the cover.
Tech Tips
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
Remove the 2 screws.
Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips.
Disengage the 2 guides.
Disconnect the connector and remove the map light assembly.
REMOVE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (w/ Sliding Roof)
Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws and open the cover.

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
Remove the 2 screws.
Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips.
Disengage the 2 guides.
Disconnect the connector and remove the map light assembly.
REMOVE INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY
Disconnect the connector.
Using "TORX" socket wrench (T20), remove the screw and inner rear view mirror.
REMOVE ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSEMBLY
Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and remove the 2 assist grip covers.

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
Disengage the 2 clips and remove the assist grip sub-assembly.

Use the same procedure for the other 3 assist grips.
REMOVE VISOR BRACKET COVER
Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws and remove the visor bracket cover.

Use the same procedure to remove the cover on the other side.
REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY LH
Remove the 2 screws and visor assembly LH.
REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY RH

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
REMOVE VISOR HOLDER
Remove the visor holder by turning it counterclockwise.

Use the same procedure to remove the holder on the other side.
REMOVE RAIN SENSOR
Release the stopper by pulling it down.
Disconnect the connector and remove the rain sensor as shown in the illustration.
REMOVE RAIN SENSOR TAPE
Remove the rain sensor tape.
REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (w/o Sliding Roof)
It is not necessary to completely remove the roof headlining assembly. Slightly lower the front section of the roof headlining assembly so that the windshield glass can be removed Click here.

REMOVE WINDSHIELD OUTSIDE MOULDING
Using a knife, cut off the moulding as shown in the illustration.
Note
Do not damage the vehicle body with the knife.
If the vehicle body is damaged, repair the damaged portion by applying an anti-rust coating after removing the windshield glass.
Remove the remaining windshield outside moulding from the windshield glass.
Note
When removing the windshield outside moulding, make a partial cut, and then pull and remove it by hand.
REMOVE WINDSHIELD GLASS
Disconnect the windshield glass stoppers.
Note
There are No. 1 and No. 2 stoppers on the windshield glass as shown in the illustration. Be careful not to damage the windshield glass when cutting off the adhesive.
To prevent the windshield glass from dropping when performing this operation, be sure to hold the windshield glass using suction cups.
Tech Tips
Depending on the vehicle, 1-piece or 2-piece type stoppers are used.
Apply protective tape to the vehicle body around the windshield glass.
Tech Tips
Apply protective tape to the vehicle body to prevent it from being scratched.
Disconnect the connector.
Pass a piano wire between the vehicle body and glass from the interior.
Tie both wire ends to wooden blocks or similar objects.
Cut off the adhesive by pulling the piano wire around the glass.
Note
When separating the glass, take care not to damage the paint or interior and exterior ornaments.
To prevent the safety pad from being scratched when removing the glass, place a plastic sheet between the piano wire and safety pad.
Place matchmarks on the windshield glass and vehicle body on the locations indicated in the illustration.
Tech Tips
Matchmarks are not needed to be placed if the glass will not be reused.
Using suction cups, remove the windshield glass.
Note
Be careful not to drop the windshield glass.
Leave as much adhesive on the vehicle body as possible when removing the windshield glass.
REMOVE WINDSHIELD GLASS ADHESIVE DAM
Using a scraper, remove the windshield glass adhesive dam.
Note
Be careful not to damage the windshield glass.
Be sure to replace the window glass adhesive dam with a new one.
REMOVE NO. 1 WINDSHIELD GLASS STOPPER (for 1-piece Type)
Using a scraper, remove the 2 No. 1 windshield glass stoppers.
Note
Be careful not to damage the windshield glass.
Be sure to replace the No. 1 windshield glass stoppers with new ones.
REMOVE NO. 2 WINDSHIELD GLASS STOPPER (for 2-piece Type)
Using a scraper, remove the 2 No. 2 windshield glass stoppers.
Note
Be careful not to damage the windshield glass.
Be sure to replace the No. 2 windshield glass stoppers with new ones.
REMOVE NO. 1 WINDSHIELD GLASS STOPPER (for 2-piece Type)
Remove the 2 No. 1 windshield glass stoppers as shown in the illustration.
Note
Be sure to replace the No. 1 windshield glass stoppers with new ones.
CLEAN WINDSHIELD GLASS
Using a scraper, remove the damaged stoppers, dam and adhesive sticking to the glass.
Note
Be careful not to damage the windshield glass.
Clean the outer circumference of the windshield glass with a non-residue solvent.
Note
Do not touch the windshield glass surface after cleaning it.
Even if using a new windshield glass, clean the windshield glass with a non-residue solvent.
CLEAN VEHICLE BODY
Clean and shape the contact surface of the vehicle body.
Using a knife, cut away any rough adhesive on the contact surface of the vehicle body to ensure the appropriate surface shape.
Note
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
Tech Tips
Leave as much adhesive on the vehicle body as possible.
Clean the contact surface of the vehicle body with a piece of cloth saturated with cleaner.
Tech Tips
Even if all the adhesive has been removed, clean the vehicle body.
