SEAT BELT WARNING SYSTEM Front Passenger Side Seat Belt Warning Light Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

w/ Navigation System:

The combination meter detects the state of the front seat inner belt assembly RH when the front passenger seat is occupied with the engine switch on (IG). If the front passenger seat belt is not fastened, the front seat belt warning light on the clock assembly blinks. If the seat belt is fastened, the warning light goes off.

w/o Navigation System:

The combination meter detects the state of the front seat inner belt assembly RH when the front passenger seat is occupied with the engine switch on (IG). If the front passenger seat belt is not fastened, the front seat belt warning light on the integration control and panel assembly blinks. If the seat belt is fastened, the warning light goes off.

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER


    1. Operate the intelligent tester according to the steps on the display and select "Active Test".

  2. INSPECT OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR (SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION PAD)

      Disconnect the occupant detection sensor connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER - FRONT SEAT INNER BELT (PASSENGER SIDE))


    1. for LHD:


      1. Disconnect the front seat inner belt assembly RH connector.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    2. for RHD:


      1. Disconnect the front seat inner belt assembly LH connector.

      Apply battery voltage from the wire harness back side between the terminals of the indicator, and check the lighting condition of the front passenger side seat belt warning light.
