FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY REASSEMBLY


  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

    CAUTION:


    • The nuts must not be reused.

    • Make sure that the front seat frame assembly with adjuster is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.


    1. A015YTA

      Install the front seat side airbag assembly with 2 new nuts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

    2. Engage the clamp.

  2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE


    1. A0161YB

      Engage the 7 clamps and install the front seat wire to the front seat frame assembly with adjuster.

    2. Connect the 3 connectors.

  3. INSTALL SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Engage the 2 clamps and install the seat heater control sub-assembly.

    2. Connect the 2 connectors.

  4. INSTALL SEAT POSITION SENSOR

      Install the seat position sensor to the seat position sensor protector with the pin as shown in the illustration.

    2. A01602SE10

      Using a 1.3 mm (0.0512 in.) feeler gauge, temporarily install the seat position sensor with the seat position sensor protector.

      Note


      • If the seat position sensor has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace the seat position sensor with a new one.

      • When installing the seat position sensor, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and that it is not pinched between other parts.

      Tech Tips

      Be sure that the clearance between the seat position sensor and the seat rail is within 0.6 mm (0.0236 in.) to 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.).

      Using a "TORX" socket wrench (T30), tighten the "TORX" screw to install the seat position sensor with the seat position sensor protector.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    4. Make sure that the clearance between the seat position sensor and the seat rail is within 0.6 mm (0.0236 in.) to 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.).

    5. Connect the connector.

      Note

      When connecting the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

    6. Check that there is no looseness in the installation parts of the seat position sensor.

  5. INSTALL LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

      Install the lumbar support adjuster with the 2 screws.

    2. Connect the connector.

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH


    1. A016309

      Engage the guide.

    2. Install the front seat lower cushion shield RH with the screw.

  7. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH


    1. A015ZCF

      Engage the guide.

    2. Install the front seat lower cushion shield LH with the screw.

  8. INSTALL UPPER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH


    1. A01629L

      Engage the guide.

    2. Install the upper reclining adjuster inside cover RH with the screw.

  9. INSTALL UPPER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH


    1. A0160UK

      Engage the guide.

    2. Install the upper reclining adjuster inside cover LH with the screw.

  10. INSTALL LOWER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

      Engage the guide and install the lower reclining adjuster inside cover RH with the 2 screws.

    2. Engage the clamp and install the side airbag wire harness.

  11. INSTALL LOWER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

      Engage the guide and install the lower reclining adjuster inside cover LH with the 2 screws.

    2. Engage the clamp and install the side airbag wire harness.

  12. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY


    1. A015ZDD

      Using a tacker, install the front seatback heater to the back of the seat cover with the 8 tack pins.

  13. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER


    1. A0161OW

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad with 16 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

  14. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD


    1. Temporarily install the front seatback cover with pad to the front seat frame assembly with adjuster.

      Install the front seatback cover bracket with the nut.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      CAUTION:


      • For vehicles with side airbags, the seatback cover must be securely installed. Otherwise, the side airbags may not deploy properly.

      • Make sure that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket.

      • Install the bracket securely.

    3. A0162MCE01

      Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover to the seat frame with 3 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

    4. Engage the 2 hooks.

      Using hog ring pliers, install the front seatback cover with pad to the seat frame with 10 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

  15. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK BOARD COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01620HE01

      Engage the hooks and install the front seatback board cover sub-assembly.

    2. Using hog ring pliers, install a new hog ring to the seatback cover.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

  16. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT


    1. A015ZM1

      Engage the 4 claws and install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

  17. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A0161R4

      Engage the 2 hooks and temporarily install the front seatback board sub-assembly.

    2. Engage the 2 claws.

    3. Install the front seatback board sub-assembly with the 2 screws.

  18. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER


    1. A0160V0E01

      Using hog ring pliers, install the seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with 16 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

  19. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

      Engage the hooks.

    2. Install the front seat cushion cover with pad with the 2 clips.

    3. for Driver Side:


      1. A01607R

        Engage the 3 clamps.

      2. Connect the 2 connectors.

    4. for Passenger Side:


      1. A01634I

        Engage the 4 clamps.

      2. Connect the 2 connectors.

      3. A01615N

        Engage the 2 clamps and connect the occupant detection sensor connector.

  20. INSTALL POWER SEAT SWITCH


    1. A0160FA

      Connect the 2 connectors.

    2. Install the power seat switch with the 3 screws.

  21. INSTALL NO. 2 SEAT TRACK LOWER SPACER


    1. A01631F

      Install the No. 2 seat track lower spacer to the front cushion shield with the 2 screws.

  22. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD


    1. A0162H0

      Insert the guide into the clip as shown in the illustration.

    2. A015YX1

      Engage the claw.

    3. Install the front seat cushion inner shield with the screw.

  23. INSTALL NO. 1 SEAT TRACK LOWER SPACER


    1. A0161UE

      Install the No. 1 seat track lower spacer to the front cushion shield with the 2 screws.

  24. INSTALL LUMBAR SWITCH


    1. A0163JY

      Install the lumbar switch to the front cushion shield with the 2 screws.

  25. INSTALL NO. 1 FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD


    1. A0161TS

      Engage the claw.

    2. Install the No. 1 front seat cushion inner shield with the 2 screws.

  26. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the connector to the lumbar switch.

    2. A0161TM

      Engage the claw.

    3. Install the front seat cushion shield assembly with the 6 screws.

    4. A015ZYM

      Engage the 2 hooks and install the 2 rubber bands of the front seatback board to the seat frame.

  27. INSTALL SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB


    1. A0161JR

      Engage the 4 claws and install the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.

  28. INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB


    1. A0160MN

      Engage the 2 claws and install the reclining power seat switch knob.

  29. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY


    1. A0162K4E02

      Install the front seat inner belt assembly with the nut.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not allow the anchor part of the front seat inner belt assembly to overlap the protruding part of the front seat adjuster.

      for Driver Seat:


      1. Connect the connector and engage the 3 clamps.

    3. for Passenger Seat:


      1. Connect the connector and engage the 4 clamps.
