DESCRIPTION

The distance control ECU and the brake actuator (skid control ECU) use CAN communication to send vehicle speed information to the seat belt control ECU. The distance control ECU receives vehicle speed information from the brake actuator (skid control ECU) via the combination meter and ECM. This DTC is output when the difference between the vehicle speed information from the distance control ECU and the brake actuator (skid control ECU) is more than the specified value.

When the seat belt control ECU is replaced with a new one, Initialization must be performed Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Recheck for DTCs.

      OK
      CAN communication system DTC is not output.

    NG

    GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM Click here

    OK

  2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (SFI SYSTEM)


    1. Check DTC for SFI system Click here.

      OK
      SFI system DTC is not output.

    NG

    GO TO SFI SYSTEM Click here

    OK

  3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM)


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Start the engine.

    3. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 30 km/h (18 mph) or more for at least 60 seconds.

    4. Check DTC for vehicle stability control system Click here.

      OK
      Vehicle stability control system DTC is not output.

    GO TO VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM Click here

  4. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Combination Meter / Data List.

    5. Check the Data List for proper functioning of the vehicle speed meter.
