CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY


    1. Check that the engine switch is off.

    2. Check that the battery negative (-) cable is disconnected.

      CAUTION:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    3. Temporarily install the curtain shield airbag assembly with the 7 hooks.

      Note

      Do not twist the curtain shield airbag assembly when installing it.

    4. Install the 2 clams.

      A01632IE01

    5. Install 9 new bolts.

      Torque:
      14 N*m  { 143 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Tighten the bolt in order from 1 to 9.

    6. Connect the curtain shield airbag connector.

      Note

      When connecting the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
