Multi-information Display
Tech Tips
The multi-information display is located in the upper center of the combination meter.
The display shows a message or animation for each of the functions described in the table below.
| Item | Detail | |
|---|---|---|
| Cruise information display | Outside temperature | Seven types of information (outside temperature, average fuel consumption, average fuel consumption after refueling, average vehicle speed, possible running distance, instant fuel consumption, and A/T shift position) can be displayed. The display can be switched by using the DISP switch. |

| Average fuel consumption after refueling | ||
| Average vehicle speed | ||
| Possible running distance | ||
| Instant fuel consumption | ||
| A/T shift position | ||
| Warning display | Door warning | Interrupts the multi-information display immediately when a warning occurs. |
| Each system warning | ||
| Satellite switch | In the satellite switch mode, 4 functions (Sonar ON/OFF*2, Intrusion Sensor*3, AFS ON/OFF, PCS brake*4) can be displayed. The function can be changed using the satellite switch (RH switch, ON/OFF switch, LH switch). |
|
| Dynamic Radar Cruise Display*1 | Displays the operating condition of the dynamic radar cruise control. | |
| Parking Assist-sensor Display*2 | Displays the location of an obstacle and the approximate distance between the vehicle and the obstacle and displays malfunction warning messages about sensor freezing or presence of dirt on the sensors. | |

Tech Tips
Illustrations may differ from the actual screen displayed depending on the specifications of the vehicle.
VOLTAGE METER
The voltage meter displays the battery voltage using one bar. If the battery voltage is too low (below 10 V), the first bar will blink to inform the driver. If the voltage is too high (17 V or higher), the seventh bar will blink. When turning the engine switch on (IG), the meter CPU determines the battery voltage based on the power source voltage supplied to it.
ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE GAUGE
The meter CPU uses the engine oil temperature sensor to determine the temperature of the engine oil. The resistance of the engine oil temperature sensor will vary between approximately 30 kΩ or higher with the engine oil temperature is 0°C (32°F), and approximately 0.3 kΩ with the engine oil temperature is 155°C (311°F). Voltage measured at this point will vary as the engine temperature is changed.
The engine oil temperature gauge displays the engine oil temperature using seven bars. The meter CPU calculates the engine oil temperature based on signals from the engine oil temperature sensor via the direct line. When the engine oil temperature becomes 140°C (284°F) or higher, all the bars blink and the warning message is displayed in the multi-information display.
Tech Tips
If the circuit is open, the lowest bar blinks.
If the circuit is shorted, all the bars blink and engine oil temperature warning light comes on.
DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
Display example
The combination meter indicates diagnosis mode by blinking the warning light or the warning message in the multi-information display.
Tech Tips
The multi-information display shows "DIAG" when the engine switch is on (IG) Click here.
Diagnosis information can be displayed on the multi-information display after connecting a jumper wire between TC (J21-13) and CG (J21-4) of the DLC3 connector.
SATELLITE SWITCH
By using the satellite switch (RH switch, ON/OFF switch, LH switch), 4 different switch functions can be displayed and changed (Intrusion sensor*1, Sonar*2, AFS, PCS brake*3).
*1: w/ Intrusion Sensor
*2: w/ Lexus Parking Assist-sensor System
*3: w/ Pre-crash Brake
Tech Tips
When the engine switch on (IG) while driving at 3 mph (5 km/h) or less, the switch except for Lexus parking assist-sensor system*2 can be displayed as shown in the illustration below.
The switch functions displayed are changed in the order shown in the illustration using the satellite switch (RH switch, LH switch). The function can be set using the ON/OFF switch.
The display automatically returns to the previous display 6 seconds after the satellite switch is operated. It will return to the previous display immediately if the DISP switch is operated.
