ENTRY AND START SYSTEM (for Entry Function) Driver Side Door Entry Unlock Function does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

If the driver door entry unlock function does not operate but the entry lock function operates, the communication line between the vehicle and electrical key transmitter is normal. Any of the following components may have a malfunction: 1) touch sensor circuit certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly); 2) front door outside handle assembly (driver side); or 3) door electrical key oscillator (driver side).

  1. CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK OPERATION


    1. When the door control switch on the master switch assembly is operated, check that the locked doors unlock Click here.

      OK
      Locked doors unlock.

    GO TO POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM Click here

    OK

  2. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (DOOR UNLOCK DETECTION SWITCH)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Master Switch / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the intelligent tester.

      ON: Driver side door is unlocked

    1. Enter the following menus: Body / Entry & Start / Data List.

    2. Read the Data List according to the display on the intelligent tester.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU - DOOR ELECTRICAL KEY OSCILLATOR)


    1. Disconnect the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.

      Disconnect the door electrical key oscillator (driver side) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for LHD

      P33-5 (SEL1) - o2-4 (SEL) Always Below 1 Ω
      P33-22 (SEN1) - o2-6 (SENS) Always Below 1 Ω

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
