REAR DOOR LOCK INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Double Locking System)


    1. Check the operation of the door lock motor.


      1. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the door lock motor.

        Measurement Condition Door Lock Condition

        Battery positive (+) → 4 (DL)

        Battery negative (-) → 1 (UL)

        Lock

        Battery positive (+) → 1 (UL)

        Battery negative (-) → 4 (DL)

        Unlock

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear door lock assembly LH.

    2. Check the operation of the unlock detection switch.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Door Lock Condition Specified Condition
        6 (LSSR) - 9 (E) Lock 10 kΩ or higher
        6 (LSSR) - 9 (E) Unlock Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear door lock assembly LH.

  2. INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Double Locking System)


    1. Check the operation of the door lock motor and double lock motor.


      1. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the door lock motor and double lock motor.

        Battery positive (+) → 2 (L)

        Battery negative (-) → 1 (UL)

        Lock

        Battery positive (+) → 1 (UL)

        Battery negative (-) → 2 (L)

        Unlock

        Battery positive (+) → 4 (DL)

        Battery negative (-) → 3 (UNDL)

        Set

        Battery positive (+) → 3 (UNDL)

        Battery negative (-) → 4 (DL)

        Unset

        Tech Tips


        • Move the door lock motor to the lock position and set the double locking system. Check that the doors cannot be unlocked by operating the control cable.

        • Move the door lock motor to the lock position and unset the double locking system. Check that the doors can be unlocked by operating the control cable.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear door lock assembly LH.

    2. Check the operation of the unlock detection switch and double lock position switch.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Door Lock Condition Specified Condition
        5 (DLSR) - 6 (LSSR) Lock 10 kΩ or higher
        5 (DLSR) - 6 (LSSR) Unlock Below 1 Ω
        9 (E) - 10 (E) Unset 10 kΩ or higher
        9 (E) - 10 (E) Set Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear door lock assembly LH.

  3. INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH (w/o Double Locking System)


    1. Check the operation of the door lock motor.


      1. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the door lock motor.

        Measurement Condition Door Lock Condition

        Battery positive (+) → 4 (L)

        Battery negative (-) → 1 (B)

        Lock

        Battery positive (+) → 1 (B)

        Battery negative (-) → 4 (L)

        Unlock

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear door lock assembly RH.

    2. Check the operation of the unlock detection switch.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        A015ZGUE04
        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Door Lock Condition Specified Condition
        6 (LSSR) - 9 (LSSR) Lock 10 kΩ or higher
        6 (LSSR) - 9 (LSSR) Unlock Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear door lock assembly RH.

  4. INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Double Locking System)


    1. Check the operation of the door lock motor and double lock motor.


      1. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the door lock motor and double lock motor.

        Battery negative (-) → 2 (DL)
