This DTC is detected if communication between the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) and gateway ECU stops for more than 10 seconds.

When "B of GND short malfunction of communication bus" DTCs (B1214 and B1215) are detected at the same time as "communication stop" DTC B1207, repair the "+B or GND short malfunction of communication bus" DTCs first Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT FUSE (SECURITY)


    1. Remove the SECURITY fuse from the main body ECU LH (cowl side junction block LH).

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      SECURITY fuse Always Below 1 Ω

    NG
    OK
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. A0161ZQE08

      Disconnect the P33 ECU connector.

    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P33-1 (+B1) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P33-17 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR


    1. Disconnect the P33, RJ and M7 connectors*1.

    2. Disconnect the P33, L17 and Q3 ECU connectors*2.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition

      P33-27 (MPX1) - RJ-21 (MPX1)*1

      P33-27 (MPX1) - L17-7 (MPX1)*2

      Always Below 1 Ω

      P33-28 (MPX2) - M7-8 (MPX2)*1

      P33-28 (MPX2) - Q3-15 (MPX1)*2

      Always Below 1 Ω
