INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note


  • When "System initializing" message is displayed on the navigation display after the battery terminal is disconnected, correct the steering angle neutral point Click here.

  • Depending on the parts that are replaced or operations that are performed during vehicle inspection or maintenance, calibration of other systems as well as the parking assist monitor system may be needed Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Body / Data List.

    5. Check the Data List for proper functioning of the following item.

      Body (Main Body ECU)
      Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      Luggage Courtesy SW Luggage compartment door courtesy switch signal/ON or OFF

      ON: Luggage compartment door open

      OFF: Luggage compartment door closed

      The luggage compartment door courtesy switch functions as specified in the normal condition column.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK)


    1. Disconnect the J75 connector from the main body ECU RH (cowl side junction block RH).

    2. Disconnect the Q42 connector from the luggage compartment door lock assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J75-25 (LGCY) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      Q42-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      J75-25 (LGCY) - Q42-3 (D+) Always Below 1 Ω

  3. INSPECT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY

      Component without harness connected

      (Luggage Compartment Door Lock Assembly)

      *2 Lock
      *3 Unlock

      Remove the luggage compartment door lock assembly.

    2. Check the operation of the door lock motor.


      1. Move the door lock to the lock position.

      2. Apply battery voltage to the door lock motor and check the operation of the door lock motor.

        Connection Result

        Battery positive (+) → 1 (B)

        Battery negative (-) → 2 (E)

        Unlocks
    3. Check operation of the door courtesy switch.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Measurement Condition Condition Specified Condition
        2 (E) - 3 (D+) Locked 10 kΩ or higher
        Unlocked Below 1 Ω
