DESCRIPTION

The television camera ECU receives a reverse signal from the park/neutral position switch.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK BACK-UP LIGHT


    1. Move the shift lever to R and check if the back-up light comes on.

      OK
      The back-up light comes on.

    2. Move the shift lever to any position other than R and check if the back-up light does not come on.

      OK
      The back-up light does not come on.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR


    1. A0161XTE02

      Disconnect the J92 connector from the television camera ECU and the E45 connector from the park/neutral position switch.

    2. A01600UE02

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J92-3 (REV) - E45-1 (RL) Always Below 1 Ω
      J92-3 (REV) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
