DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored if the parking assist ECU receives a signal via CAN communication from the steering angle sensor that indicates a power supply system problem.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

  • When "System initializing" message is displayed on the navigation display after the battery terminal is disconnected, correct the steering angle neutral point Click here.

  • Depending on the parts that are replaced or operations that are performed during vehicle inspection or maintenance, calibration of other systems as well as the parking assist monitor system may be needed Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEERING ANGLE SENSOR POWER SUPPLY)


    1. Disconnect the J23 connector from the steering angle sensor.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J23-2 (ESS) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J23-1 (IG) - J23-2 (ESS) Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      J23-3 (BAT) - J23-2 (ESS) Always 11 to 14 V
