DESCRIPTION
The skid control ECU is connected to the combination meter via the CAN and multiplex communication systems.
Upon receiving a signal indicating an abnormality from the ECM, the skid control ECU disables TRC. When TRC is disabled, the TRC OFF indicator light comes on in the combination meter.
Tech Tips
Even if the skid control ECU receives a signal indicating an abnormality from the ECM, VSC remains available and the warning light remains off.
When the VSC OFF switch is operated, the system switches between normal mode, TRC off mode and VSC off mode.
If the VSC OFF switch is pressed in normal mode, the system enters TRC off mode and TRC is disabled.
When TRC is disabled, the TRC OFF indicator light comes on in the combination meter.
Tech Tips
If the VSC system is malfunctioning, the VSC OFF switch is disabled.

INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
Turn the engine switch off.
Perform the Active Test of the combination meter (meter CPU) using the intelligent tester Click here.
Check the combination meter.
