VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM VSC Warning Light does not Come ON

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU is connected to the combination meter via the CAN and multiplex communication systems.

Note

When replacing the skid control ECU, perform zero point calibration and store system information Click here.

  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Check if a CAN communication system DTC is output Click here.

  2. CHECK MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

  3. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (MASTER CAUTION INDICATOR LIGHT AND MULTI-INFORMATION DISPLAY)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Select the Active Test mode on the intelligent tester Click here.

    4. Check that the master caution indicator light and multi-information display on the combination meter turns on or off in accordance with the intelligent tester operation.

  4. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Perform the Active Test of the combination meter (meter CPU) using the intelligent tester Click here.

    3. Check the combination meter.

      OK
      The master caution indicator light and multi-information display turns on or off in accordance with the intelligent tester operation.
