FRONT UPPER SUSPENSION ARM INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT FRONT UPPER SUSPENSION ARM


    1. A0160HR

      Flip the ball joint stud back and forth 5 times as shown in the illustration before installing the nut.

    2. Use a torque wrench to turn the nut continuously at a rate of 2 to 4 seconds per turn. Take the torque reading on the 5th turn.

      Turning torque
      1.0 to 3.4 N*m (10 to 35 kgf*cm, 9 to 30 in.*lbf)

      If the value is not within the specified range, replace the front upper suspension arm with a new one.

    3. Check the dust boots for cracks or grease leakage.
