PATTERN SELECT SWITCH INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT NO. 1 PATTERN SELECT SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Check that the No. 1 pattern select switch assembly does not stick or bind.

      Component without harness connected:

      (No. 1 pattern select switch assembly)

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      4 (2ND) - 5 (E) SNOW ON (Pressed) Below 1 Ω
      4 (2ND) - 5 (E) SNOW OFF (Not pressed) 10 kΩ or higher

    3. Apply battery voltage between the terminals of the switch, and check the illumination condition of the switch.

      OK
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3 (ILL+)

      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 (ILL-)

      		 Always Illuminates

      If the resistance value is not as specified, replace the No. 1 pattern select switch assembly.
