LEXUS PARKING ASSIST-SENSOR SYSTEM No. 1 Clearance Warning Buzzer Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The clearance warning ECU receives the ultrasonic sensor signal to sound the clearance warning buzzer.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the LEXUS parking assist-sensor system on.

    4. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    5. Select the Active Test, use the intelligent tester to generate a control command, and then check that the buzzer operates.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER - BATTERY)


    1. A0161TQE01

      Disconnect the clearance warning buzzer connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J39-1 - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU - CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER)


    1. A0163KRE07

      Disconnect the clearance warning ECU connector.

    2. A0161TQE02

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q37-9 (CBZ) - J39-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      Q37-9 (CBZ) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. REPLACE CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER


    1. Replace the clearance warning buzzer with a new or normally functioning one Click here.
