LEXUS PARKING ASSIST-SENSOR SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:B2237

DESCRIPTION

The No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear left sensor) is installed on the rear bumper.

The clearance warning ECU detects obstacles based on signals received from the rear left sensor. If the rear left sensor circuit has an open, short or other malfunction, it will not function normally.

1. INSPECT NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR

      *1	Component without harness connected (No. 1 Ultrasonic Sensor (Rear Left Sensor))

      Remove the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor.

   2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 2 (S) - 1 (E) Always 20 to 40 kΩ

   REPLACE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (REAR LEFT SENSOR) Click here

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU - NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR)

   
   

   1. Disconnect the clearance warning ECU connector.

   2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Q37-4 (S6) - S1-2 (S) Always Below 1 Ω Q37-17 (E6) - S1-1 (E) Always Below 1 Ω Q37-4 (S6) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher Q37-17 (E6) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
