DISTANCE CONTROL ECU INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL DISTANCE CONTROL ECU (for LHD)


    1. A0160J5

      Install the distance control ECU with the nut.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not install the distance control ECU if it has been damaged or impacted in any way.

    2. Connect the distance control ECU connector.

  2. INSTALL DISTANCE CONTROL ECU (for RHD)


    1. A015ZMT

      Install the distance control ECU with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not install the distance control ECU if it has been damaged or impacted in any way.

    2. Connect the distance control ECU connector.

  3. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. A015ZC2E01

      Connect the connectors.

    2. Insert the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly into the guide as shown in the illustration.

    3. Engage the 2 claws.

    4. Install the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly with the 2 screws <D>.

  4. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

  5. INITIALIZE DISTANCE CONTROL ECU

    Note

    When replacing the distance control ECU, perform the following procedure so that the ECU can the specification


    1. Be sure to perform the following procedure after replacing the distance control ECU.


      1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

      2. Turn the cruise control main switch on.

      3. With the brake pedal depressed, push the cruise control main switch to RES/ACC 3 times within 3 seconds. Check that the buzzer sounds at this time.

    2. Perform any of the following to cancel beam axis adjustment mode.


      • Turn the cruise control main switch off.

      • Turn the engine switch off.

      • Accelerate the vehicle to 10 km/h or more.
