OIL LEVEL SENSOR REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER

  3. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION MEMBER PROTECTOR

      Remove the 4 bolts and the front lower suspension member protector.

  4. DRAIN ENGINE OIL


    1. Remove the oil filler cap.

    2. Remove the oil pan drain plug and drain the engine oil into a container.

    3. Clean the oil pan drain plug.

    4. Install the oil pan drain plug with a new gasket.

      Torque:
      40 N*m  { 408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }
  5. DRAIN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID


    1. Remove the drain plug and gasket, and drain the ATF.

    2. Install a new gasket and the drain plug.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }
  6. DISCONNECT OIL COOLER TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 3 bolts and disconnect the bracket.

    2. Remove the 2 clips and disconnect the oil cooler tube sub-assembly.

  7. REMOVE CRANK POSITION SENSOR BRACKET

      Using a clip remover, disconnect the harness clamp.

    2. Remove the bolt and crank position sensor bracket.

  8. REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL SENSOR


    1. A0162T1

      Disconnect the engine oil level sensor connector.

    2. Remove the 4 bolts.

    3. A015ZZD

      Rotate the engine oil level sensor 180° counterclockwise and remove it.

      Cut off the gasket as shown in the illustration.

    5. Remove the gasket from the oil level sensor.

      Tech Tips

      After cutting away the parts of the gasket shown in the illustration, remove only the outer part of the gasket.
