OIL PRESSURE SWITCH INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. A015YZUE04

      Apply adhesive to 2 or 3 threads of the oil pressure switch assembly.

      Adhesive
      Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or equivalent
    2. A0160XHE01

      Using SST, install the oil pressure switch.

      SST
      09922-10010
      Torque:
      without SST
      15 N*m  { 153 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf }
      with SST
      8.0 N*m  { 81 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

      Note


      • Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 155 mm (6.10 in.).

      • Do not start the engine for at least 1 hour after installing the oil pressure switch assembly.

    3. Connect the oil pressure switch assembly connector.

  2. ADD ENGINE OIL


    1. Add fresh oil.

      Standard Oil Grade
      Oil Grade Oil Viscosity (SAE)

      • API grade SL "Energy-Conserving", SM "Energy-Conserving", SN "Resource-Conserving" or ILSAC multigrade engine oil

      • 5W-30

      • 10W-30
      API grade SL, SM or SN multigrade engine oil

      • 15W-40

      • 20W-50
      Standard Capacity
      Item Specified Condition
      Drain and refill with oil filter change 9.3 liters (9.8 US qts, 8.2 Imp. qts)
      Drain and refill without oil filter change 8.2 liters (8.7 US qts, 7.2 Imp. qts)
      Dry fill 10.5 liters (11.1 US qts, 9.2 Imp. qts)

    2. Install the oil filler cap.

  3. INSPECT FOR OIL LEAK

  4. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER
