INSPECT CHARCOAL CANISTER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Visually check the charcoal canister sub-assembly for cracks or damage.
If cracks or damage are found, replace the charcoal canister sub-assembly.
Blow 4.4 kPa (45 gf/cm2, 0.63 psi) of compressed air into port A and check that air flows from port B and port C without resistance.
If the result is not as specified, replace the charcoal canister sub-assembly.
Apply a vacuum of 1.96 kPa (20 gf/cm2, 0.28 psi) to port A. Check that the vacuum does not decrease when ports B and C are closed, and check that the vacuum does not decrease when port B is released.
If the result is not as specified, replace the charcoal canister sub-assembly.
CLEAN FILTER IN CANISTER
Clean the filter by blowing 4.4 kPa (45 gf/cm2, 0.63 psi) of compressed air into port A while holding port B closed.
Tech Tips
Do not attempt to wash the charcoal canister sub-assembly.
No activated carbon should come out.
