INSTALL ECM
Install the ECM to the engine room ECU box with the 2 nuts.
Note
Install the ECM on the engine room ECU box with the label facing away from the engine.
Make sure that there is no foreign matter on the gasket surface of the engine room ECU box.
Insert the stud bolt on the vehicle rear side to the ECM first.
Make sure that the stud bolts are securely installed into the front and rear bolt holes.
Connect the 6 ECM connectors.
Note
Be sure to securely connect the connector.
Connect the connector holder.
INSTALL ENGINE ROOM ECU COVER
Install the engine room ECU cover with 3 bolts.
INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH (for LHD)
Install the engine room side cover LH with the 5 clips.
INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH (for RHD)
Install the engine room side cover LH with the 4 clips.
INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
Install the cool air intake duct seal with the 9 clips.
INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Engage the 4 clips to install the V-bank cover sub-assembly.
Note
Be sure to engage the clips securely.
Do not apply excessive force or hit the cover to engage the clips. This may cause the cover to break.
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
PERFORM INITIALIZATION
When replacing the ECM, some systems need to be initialized.

PERFORM RESET MEMORY
Note
Perform RESET MEMORY (AT initialization) when replacing the ECM Click here.
Tech Tips
Initialization cannot be completed by only disconnecting and reconnecting the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
