NAVIGATION ECU REMOVAL


  1. EJECT MAP DISC


    1. Turn the engine switch on (ACC).

      Apply protective tape to the places shown in the illustration.

      Insert 2 precision screwdrivers (φ1.5 or less) into the holes on both sides of the clock assembly at the angle shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Do not pry on the clock assembly with the screwdrivers as they may damage the clock assembly.

      Tech Tips

      If precision screwdrivers are not available, use in-vehicle tools (part No. 09135-53010).

      *1 Protective Tape

      Insert a screwdriver with its tip taped with protective tape from the underside of the hazard switch and pull and remove the clock assembly.

      Note

      Do not pry on the hazard switch with the screwdriver as it may damage the switch.

    5. Remove the 2 precision screwdrivers.

    6. Push the "MENU" button.

    7. Touch "Map DVD" on the navigation screen.

    8. Touch "EJECT DVD" on the navigation screen to eject the map disc.

    9. Temporarily reinstall the clock assembly to make the removal of the multi-display assembly easier.

      Note

      Do not install the clock assembly completely because it will be removed later.

    10. Turn the engine switch off.

  2. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Turn the shift lever knob counterclockwise and remove the shift lever knob sub-assembly.

  3. REMOVE UPPER NO. 1 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the claw as shown in the illustration.

    2. A0160YI

      Pull the upper No. 1 console panel garnish in the direction indicated by the arrow to disengage the 2 clips and remove the upper No. 1 console panel garnish.

  4. REMOVE UPPER NO. 2 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the claw as shown in the illustration.

      Pull the upper No. 2 console panel garnish in the direction indicated by the arrow to disengage the 2 clips and remove the upper No. 2 console panel garnish.

  5. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Hold the front of the console panel sub-assembly as shown in the illustration and disengage the 8 clips by pulling the console panel sub-assembly in the direction shown by the arrow.

      Note

      Do not use any tools to disengage the clips. The use of tools may result in damage to the console panel sub-assembly.

    2. Disconnect the connectors and remove the console panel sub-assembly.

  6. REMOVE FRONT ASH RECEPTACLE ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 screws <E>.

      Pull the front ash receptacle assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow to disconnect the connectors and remove the front ash receptacle assembly.

  7. REMOVE NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY

      Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      Apply protective tape to the areas shown in the illustration.

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws starting from the left of the No. 3 instrument panel register assembly as shown in the illustration. Disengage the remaining 3 claws by pulling the No. 3 instrument panel register assembly by hand.

      Note

      Do not pry the lower part of the No. 3 instrument panel register assembly. Doing so may damage the assembly.

      for LHD:


      1. Disconnect the connector and remove the No. 3 instrument panel register assembly.

      for RHD:


      1. Disengage the 3 clamps.

      2. Disconnect the connector and remove the No. 3 instrument panel register assembly.

  8. REMOVE CENTER LOWER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL

      Disengage the 4 claws to remove the center lower instrument cluster finish panel.

  9. REMOVE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY WITH RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 4 bolts.

    2. Pull the display and navigation module display with radio receiver assembly toward the rear of the vehicle.

    3. Disconnect each connector and remove the display and navigation module display with radio receiver assembly.

  10. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIO BRACKET

      Disengage the connector clamp.

    2. A015YUA

      Remove the 7 bolts and No. 1 radio bracket.

  11. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIO BRACKET

      Remove the 7 bolts and No. 2 radio bracket.

  12. REMOVE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY ASSEMBLY

      Slide the display and navigation module display assembly in the direction shown by the arrow to remove it.

  13. REMOVE NAVIGATION ECU


    1. A01609U

      Disconnect each connector.

    2. Disengage the clamp and remove the harness.

    3. A0161GO

      Remove the 4 screws and navigation ECU.
