DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when there is an open, short or ECU communication malfunction between the main body ECU (instrument panel junction block assembly) and certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

When using the intelligent tester with the ignition switch off to troubleshoot:

Connect the intelligent tester to the vehicle, and turn the courtesy switch on and off at 1.5-second intervals until communication between the tester and vehicle begins.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU - MAIN BODY ECU)


    1. A017B58E02

      Disconnect the D36 and 1E connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D36-10 (LIN) - 1E-7 (LIN1) Always Below 1 Ω
      D36-10 (LIN) - 7 (LIN1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D36-10 (LIN) - Body ground Always Below 1 V

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  2. REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK)


    1. Replace the main body ECU (instrument panel junction block assembly) with a normally-functioning or a new one.

    2. Clear the DTC.
