POWER BACK DOOR DRIVE UNIT DISASSEMBLY

    REMOVE BACK DOOR UPPER ROD


    1. A017CTN

      Clamp the back door motor unit in a vise between aluminum plates.

    2. Remove the nut and power back door arm sub-assembly.

      Note:

      Make sure to replace the back door upper rod with a new one.

    REMOVE BACK DOOR CLOSER NO. 1 GEAR

      Remove the 3 screws.

      Note:

      Make sure to replace the 3 screws with new ones.

    2. A017BAB

      Remove the 2 bolts and power back door bracket sub-assembly.

      Note:

      Make sure to replace the 2 bolts with new ones.

      Remove the bolt and power back door case sub-assembly.

      Note:

      Make sure to replace the bolt with a new one.

    4. A017B2M

      Remove the power back door wave washer as shown in the illustration.

    5. A017DFW

      Remove the power back door No. 4 gear as shown in the illustration.

    6. A017CBR

      Remove the power back door gear sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Note:

      Make sure to replace the power back door gear sub-assembly with new one.

      Remove the power back door No. 3 shaft as shown in the illustration.

    8. A017BSJ

      Remove the bolt and power back door bracket sub-assembly.

      Note:

      Make sure to replace the bolt with a new one.

    9. A017CRU

      Remove the 3 screws and power back door case sub-assembly.

      Note:

      Make sure to replace the 3 screws and power back door case sub-assembly with new ones.
