DISCONNECT NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG
Using a screwdriver with the tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 3 claws and remove the rear door inside handle bezel plug.
REMOVE REAR DOOR ARMREST UPPER BASE PANEL
Using a screwdriver with the tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 6 claws and 2 clips, and remove the rear door armrest upper base panel.
Disconnect the connector.
REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY
Disengage the 2 claws and remove the rear power window regulator switch assembly.
REMOVE DOOR ASSIST GRIP COVER
Using a screwdriver with the tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 4 claws and remove the door assist grip cover.
REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the 3 screws.
Using a clip remover, disengage the 9 clips.
Disengage the 5 claws and separate the rear door trim board sub-assembly from the rear door inner glass weatherstrip.
Disengage the 2 clamps.
Disconnect the front door lock remote control cable and rear door inside locking cable.
REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the 2 screws.
Disengage the 2 claws and disconnect the rear door inside handle sub-assembly.
REMOVE REAR SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the 3 bolts and rear speaker assembly.
Note
Do not touch the cone part of the speaker.
REMOVE REAR DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP
Remove the rear door inner glass weatherstrip from the rear door panel.
REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the rear door service hole cover.
Tech Tips
Remove the remaining tape on the door.
REMOVE REAR DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY
Remove the bolt, 2 nuts, and the rear door check assembly.
REMOVE REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP
Using a clip remover, disengage the 19 clips and remove the rear door weatherstrip.
REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN
Remove the rear door glass run.
REMOVE REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH
Disengage the clip and remove the rear door frame garnish.
Tech Tips
This clip needs to be replaced with a new one because the clip will break when removing the rear door frame garnish.
REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW DIVISION BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the rear door vent seal.
Remove the 2 bolts, screw, and the rear door window division bar sub-assembly.
REMOVE REAR DOOR QUARTER WINDOW GLASS
Remove the rear door quarter window glass and the rear door quarter window weatherstrip as a unit as shown in the illustration.
Remove the rear door quarter window glass from the rear door quarter window weatherstrip.
REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the rear door glass sub-assembly from the rear door window regulator sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
Note
Do not damage the door glass.
REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY
Disconnect the connector.
Loosen the temporary bolt.
Note
Do not remove the temporary bolt. If the temporary bolt is removed, the rear door window regulator may fall and cause damage.
Remove the 3 bolts.
Remove the rear door window regulator sub-assembly and the rear power window regulator motor assembly as a unit.
Remove the temporary bolt from the rear door window regulator sub-assembly.
REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY
Connect the positive (+) lead of the battery to terminal 2, and the negative (-) lead to terminal 1 of the rear power window regulator motor assembly to move the lift arm to the position shown in the illustration.
Using a "TORX" driver (T25), remove the 3 screws and the rear power window regulator motor assembly.
REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
Using a "TORX" socket wrench (T30), remove the 3 screws.
Move the rear door lock assembly downward and pull the release plate out of the rear door outside handle frame.
Remove the door lock wiring harness seal from the rear door lock assembly.
REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw.
Tech Tips
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
Remove the rear door lock remote control cable assembly.
REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY
Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws.
Tech Tips
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
Remove the rear door inside locking cable assembly.
REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER
Using a "TORX" socket wrench (T30), loosen the screw.
Tech Tips
The screw cannot be removed because it is integrated into the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly.
Disengage the claw and remove the rear door outside handle cover.
REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY
Pull and hold the release plate of the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
Note
The rear door outside handle assembly may be damaged when removing the rear door outside handle assembly, unless the release plate of the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly is pulled and held.
Remove the rear door outside handle assembly as shown in the illustration.
REMOVE REAR DOOR FRONT OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD
Disengage the 3 claws and remove the rear door front outside handle pad.
REMOVE REAR DOOR REAR OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD
Disengage the 2 claws and remove the rear door rear outside handle pad.
REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY
Using a "TORX" socket wrench (T30), remove the screw.
Disengage the 2 claws and remove the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly.
REMOVE REAR DOOR BELT MOULDING ASSEMBLY
Put protective tape around the rear door belt moulding assembly.
Disengage the 6 claws and remove the rear door belt moulding assembly.
Note
Be careful when removing the moulding as there are claws attached to the front end of the moulding.
REMOVE REAR DOOR NO. 2 WEATHERSTRIP
Disengage the claw.
Disengage the 11 clips and remove the rear door No. 2 weatherstrip.
REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY
Turn back the rear door No. 2 weatherstrip.
Remove the nut.
Peel off the upper rear door outside moulding pad and disengage the 8 clips, and then remove the rear door outside moulding sub-assembly.
Remove the gasket from the rear door outside moulding sub-assembly.
Remove the 2 No. 3 clips pad from the rear door outside moulding sub-assembly.
Remove the 6 No. 4 clips pad from the rear door outside moulding sub-assembly.
Remove the upper rear door outside moulding pad from the rear door outside moulding sub-assembly.
REMOVE NO. 3 BLACK OUT TAPE
Using a heat light, heat the No. 3 black out tape and vehicle body.

Do not heat the vehicle body excessively.
Pull back an end of the No. 3 black out tape and pull it parallel to the vehicle body to pull it off.
REMOVE NO. 2 BLACK OUT TAPE
Using a heat light, heat the No. 2 black out tape and vehicle body.

REMOVE INNER UPPER BLACK OUT REAR DOOR TAPE
Using a heat light, heat the inner upper black out rear door tape and vehicle body.

Pull back an end of the inner upper black out rear door tape and pull it parallel to the vehicle body to pull it off.
REMOVE INNER FRONT BLACK OUT REAR DOOR TAPE
Using a heat light, heat the inner front black out rear door tape and vehicle body.

REMOVE INNER REAR BLACK OUT REAR DOOR TAPE
Using a heat light, heat the inner rear black out rear door tape and vehicle body.
