FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat) REASSEMBLY

INSTALL SEAT POSITION SENSOR
1. Install the seat position sensor to the seat slide position sensor protector with the pin as shown in the illustration.
2. Using a 1.3 mm (0.051 in.) feeler gauge, temporarily install the seat position sensor.
  Note
  
  If the seat position sensor has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace the seat position sensor with a new one.
  
  When installing the seat position sensor, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and that it is not pinched between other parts.
  Tech Tips
  
  Be sure that the clearance between the seat position sensor and the seat rail is within 0.6 mm (0.024 in.) to 2.0 mm (0.079 in.).
3. Using a "TORX" socket wrench (T30), tighten the "TORX" screw to install the seat position sensor.
  
  Torque:
  
  8.0 N*m { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }
4. Make sure that the clearance between the seat position sensor and the seat rail is within 0.6 mm (0.024 in.) to 2.0 mm (0.079 in.).
5. Check that there are no loose parts after installing the seat position sensor.
6. Connect the connector.
INSTALL SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)
1. Engage the 2 clamps and install the seat heater control sub-assembly.
INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE (w/o Seat Cushion Front Edge Adjustment Function)
1. w/o Seat Heater System:
  1. Connect the 4 connectors.
  2. Engage the 2 claws.
  3. Engage the 4 clamps.
2. w/ Seat Heater System:
  1. Connect the 5 connectors.
  2. Engage the 2 claws.
  3. Engage the 4 clamps.
3. Connect the connector.
4. Engage the 2 clamps and install the front seat wire.
INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE (w/ Seat Cushion Front Edge Adjustment Function)
1. w/o Seat Heater System:
  1. Connect the 5 connectors.
  2. Engage the 2 claws.
  3. Engage the 4 clamps.
2. w/ Seat Heater System:
  1. Connect the 6 connectors.
  2. Engage the 2 claws.
  3. Engage the 4 clamps.
3. Connect the connector.
4. Engage the 2 clamps and install the front seat wire.
INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH
1. Engage the guide.
2. Engage the hook as shown in the illustration.
3. Install the front seat lower cushion shield RH with the screw.
INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH
1. Engage the guide.
2. Engage the hook as shown in the illustration.
3. Install the front seat lower cushion shield LH with the screw.
INSTALL FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
CAUTION:
- The nuts must not be reused.
- Make sure that the seat frame assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.
1. Install the front seat airbag assembly with 2 new nuts.
  
  Torque:
  
  5.5 N*m { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }
2. Engage the 2 clamps to connect the wire harness.
INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH
1. Install the reclining adjuster inside cover RH with the screw.
INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH
1. Engage the guide.
2. Engage the clamp.
3. Install the reclining adjuster inside cover RH with the screw.
INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH
1. Install the reclining adjuster inside cover LH with the screw.
INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH
1. Engage the guide.
2. Engage the clamp.
3. Install the reclining adjuster inside cover LH with the screw.
INSTALL ACTIVE HEADREST LOWER UNIT
1. Install the active headrest lower unit with the 4 nuts.
  
  Torque:
  
  8.5 N*m { 87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf }
INSTALL ACTIVE HEADREST UPPER UNIT
1. Install the active headrest upper unit with the 4 nuts.
  
  Torque:
  
  20 N*m { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }
2. Connect the cable to the active headrest upper unit with the nut as shown in the illustration.
  
  Torque:
  
  8.5 N*m { 87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf }
INSTALL LUMBAR SUPPORT MOTOR ASSEMBLY
1. Install the lumbar support motor assembly with the 4 screws.
INSTALL LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY
1. Install the bush.
2. Install the lumbar support adjuster assembly with the 2 screws.
3. Connect the connector.
INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER
1. Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover with 7 new hog rings.
  Note
  
  Be careful not to damage the cover.
  
  When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.
INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD
1. Temporarily install the front seatback cover with pad to the front seat frame assembly with adjuster.
2. Engage the 4 claws and install the 2 front seat headrest supports.
3. Install the front seatback cover bracket with the nut.
  
  Torque:
  
  5.5 N*m { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }
  Note
  
  For vehicles with side airbags, the side airbags may not be activated normally unless the front seatback cover is securely installed.
  
  Check that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket.
  
  Install the bracket securely.
4. Engage the hooks.
5. Using hog ring pliers, install 5 new hog rings.
  Note
  
  Be careful not to damage the cover.
  
  When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.
6. Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover with 3 new hog rings.
  Note
  
  Be careful not to damage the cover.
  
  When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.
INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER (w/o Seat Cushion Front Edge Adjustment Function)
1. Using hog ring pliers, temporarily install the separate type front seat cushion cover with 11 new hog rings.
  Note
  
  Be careful not to damage the cover.
  
  When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.
2. Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover with 6 new hog rings.
  Note
  
  Be careful not to damage the cover.
  
  When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.
INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER (w/ Seat Cushion Front Edge Adjustment Function)
1. Using hog ring pliers, temporarily install the separate type front seat cushion cover with 15 new hog rings.
  Note
  
  Be careful not to damage the cover.
  
  When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.
2. Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover with 2 new hog rings.
  Note
  
  Be careful not to damage the cover.
  
  When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.
INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD (w/o Seat Cushion Front Edge Adjustment Function)
1. Temporarily install the front seat cushion cover with pad to the front seat frame assembly with adjuster.
2. Engage the hooks as shown in the illustration.
3. Install the 2 clips.
4. w/ Seat Heater System:
  1. Connect the seat heater connector.
  2. Engage each clamp of the seat heater wire harness.
5. for Front Passenger Side:
  
  w/ Occupant Classification System:
  
  Connect the occupant detection sensor connector as shown in the illustration.
6. Engage the hooks and install the front seat cushion cover with pad.
7. Engage the 2 clamps.
INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD (w/ Seat Cushion Front Edge Adjustment Function)
1. Temporarily install the front seat cushion cover with pad to the front seat frame assembly with adjuster.
2. Using hog ring pliers, install 4 new hog rings.
  Note
  
  Be careful not to damage the cover.
  
  When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.
3. Engage the hook as shown in the illustration.
4. Engage the hooks as shown in the illustration.
5. Install the 2 clips.
6. Connect the 2 connectors.
7. Engage the hooks.
8. Engage the 4 clamps and install the front seat cushion cover with pad.
INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD
1. Engage the guide and temporarily install the front seat cushion inner shield as shown in the illustration.
2. Engage the claw.
3. Install the front seat cushion inner shield with the screw.
INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY
1. Install the front seat inner belt assembly with the nut.
  
  Torque:
  
  42 N*m { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }
  
  Note
  
  Do not allow the anchor part of the front seat inner belt assembly to overlap the protruding part of the front seat adjuster.
2. Connect each connector and clamp.
INSTALL POWER SEAT SWITCH
1. Connect the connector.
2. Install the power seat switch with the 3 screws.
INSTALL SEAT VARIABLE CUSHION SWITCH (w/ Seat Cushion Front Edge Adjustment Function)
1. Install the seat variable cushion switch with the 2 screws.
INSTALL FRONT POWER SEAT LUMBAR SWITCH
1. Install the front power seat lumbar switch with the 2 screws.
INSTALL FRONT INNER NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD
1. Engage the 2 claws.
2. Install the front inner No. 1 seat cushion shield with the 2 screws.
INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD ASSEMBLY
1. w/o Seat Cushion Front Edge Adjustment Function:
  
  Connect the connector to the front power seat lumbar switch.
2. w/ Seat Cushion Front Edge Adjustment Function:
  1. Engage the each clamps.
  2. Connect the connector to the front power seat lumbar switch and the seat variable cushion switch.
3. Engage the guide and the claw.
4. Install the front seat cushion shield assembly with the 5 screws.
5. Engage the hooks.
INSTALL SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB
1. Engage the 4 claws and install the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.
INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB
1. Engage the 2 claws and install the reclining power seat switch knob.
