FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat) REASSEMBLY


  1. INSTALL SEAT POSITION SENSOR

      Install the seat position sensor to the seat slide position sensor protector with the pin as shown in the illustration.

    2. A017DA2E10

      Using a 1.3 mm (0.051 in.) feeler gauge, temporarily install the seat position sensor.

      Note


      • If the seat position sensor has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace the seat position sensor with a new one.

      • When installing the seat position sensor, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and that it is not pinched between other parts.

      Tech Tips

      Be sure that the clearance between the seat position sensor and the seat rail is within 0.6 mm (0.024 in.) to 2.0 mm (0.079 in.).

    3. A017BHS

      Using a "TORX" socket wrench (T30), tighten the "TORX" screw to install the seat position sensor.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    4. Make sure that the clearance between the seat position sensor and the seat rail is within 0.6 mm (0.024 in.) to 2.0 mm (0.079 in.).

    5. Check that there are no loose parts after installing the seat position sensor.

    6. Connect the connector.

  2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH

      Engage the guide and the claw.

    2. Install the front seat lower cushion shield RH with the screw.

  3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH

      Engage the claw.

    2. Install the front seat lower cushion shield LH with the screw.

  4. INSTALL FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

    CAUTION:


    • The nuts must not be reused.

    • Make sure that the seat frame assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.


    1. A017ETG

      Install the front seat airbag assembly with 2 new nuts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

    2. Engage the 2 clamps to connect the wire harness.

  5. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH


    1. A017CFB

      Engage the claw.

    2. Install the reclining adjuster inside cover RH with the screw.

  6. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH


    1. A017EID

      Engage the guide.

    2. Install the reclining adjuster inside cover RH with the screw.

  7. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH


    1. A017FWB

      Engage the claw.

    2. Install the reclining adjuster inside cover LH with the screw.

  8. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

      Engage the guide.

    2. w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:

      Engage the clamp.

    3. Install the reclining adjuster inside cover LH with the screw.

  9. INSTALL ACTIVE HEADREST LOWER UNIT

      Install the active headrest lower unit with the 4 nuts.

      Torque:
      8.5 N*m  { 87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf }

  10. INSTALL ACTIVE HEADREST UPPER UNIT


    1. A017CF7

      Install the active headrest upper unit with the 4 nuts.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

    2. Connect the cable to the active headrest upper unit with the nut as shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      8.5 N*m  { 87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf }

  11. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER


    1. A017BWOE01

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover with 7 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

  12. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD


    1. Temporarily install the front seatback cover with pad to the front seat frame assembly with adjuster.

      Engage the 4 claws and install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

      w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:

      Install the front seatback cover bracket with the nut.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      Note


      • For vehicles with side airbags, the side airbags may not be activated normally unless the front seatback cover is securely installed.

      • Check that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket.

      • Install the bracket securely.

    4. A017E5EE01

      Using hog ring pliers, install 5 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

    5. A017D33E01

      Using hog ring pliers, install the front seatback cover with pad with 3 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

  13. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER


    1. A017FHAE01

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover with 11 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

    2. A017CAVE01

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover with 6 new hog rings.

  14. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD


    1. Temporarily install the front seat cushion cover with pad to the front seat frame assembly with adjuster.

    2. Engage the hooks.

    3. Install the front seat cushion cover with pad with the 2 clips.

    4. for Front Passenger Side:

        w/ Occupant Classification System:

        Connect the occupant detection sensor connector as shown in the illustration.

    5. A017EEZ

      w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:

      Engage the clamp.

  15. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD


    1. A017FDG

      Insert the guide and temporarily install the front seat cushion inner shield.

    2. A017FOF

      Engage the claw.

    3. Install the front seat cushion inner shield with the screw.

  16. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY


    1. A017FE2E01

      Install the front seat inner belt assembly with the nut.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not allow the anchor part of the front seat inner belt assembly to overlap the protruding part of the front seat adjuster.

    2. Connect each connector and clamp.

  17. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD

      Engage the 2 guides.

    2. Engage the claw.

    3. Install the front seat cushion shield with the 3 screws.

      Engage the hooks.

  18. INSTALL VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE

      Install the vertical adjusting handle with the 2 screws.

  19. INSTALL VERTICAL ADJUSTER COVER

      Engage the 2 claws and install the vertical adjuster cover.

  20. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE

      Engage the claw and install the reclining adjuster release handle.

  21. INSTALL VERTICAL SEAT ADJUSTER KNOB

      Install the snap ring to the vertical seat adjuster knob as shown in the illustration.

    2. Install the vertical seat adjuster knob.
