DESCRIPTION

The clock assembly receives a reverse signal from the park/neutral position switch assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT CLOCK ASSEMBLY (REVERSE SIGNAL)


    1. Disconnect the E9 clock assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E9-2 (REV) - Body ground

      Ignition switch ON

      Shift lever in R

      11 to 14 V
      E9-2 (REV) - Body ground

      Ignition switch ON

      Shift lever any position except R

      Below 1 V

    NG
    OK
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLOCK ASSEMBLY - PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the E9 clock assembly connector and B5 park/neutral position switch assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E9-2 (REV) - B5-1 (RL) Always Below 1 Ω
      E9-2 (REV) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY - BATTERY)


    1. Disconnect the B5 park/neutral position switch assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      B5-2 (RB) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

      1. Proceed to the next step based on the check result.
