NAVIGATION SYSTEM (for DVD) Microphone Circuit between Microphone and Navigation Receiver Assembly

DESCRIPTION

This circuit sends a microphone signal from the telephone microphone assembly to the navigation receiver assembly.

It also supplies power from the navigation receiver assembly to the telephone microphone assembly.

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      E3-17 (MACC) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC 4 to 6 V
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      E3-18 (SGND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      E3-20 (MIN-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the E3 navigation receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the Q15 telephone microphone assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E3-5 (SNS2) - Q15-4 (SNS2) Always Below 1 Ω
      E3-17 (MACC) - Q15-1 (MACC) Always Below 1 Ω
      E3-19 (MIN+) - Q15-3 (MIC+) Always Below 1 Ω
      E3-20 (MIN-) - Q15-5 (MIC-) Always Below 1 Ω
      E3-5 (SNS2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E3-17 (MACC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E3-19 (MIN+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E3-20 (MIN-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
