OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR (for Power Seat) INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION PAD


    1. A017COU

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion pad to the separate type front seat cover with 15 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion pad to the separate type front seat cover with 6 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

  2. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD


    1. Engage each hook.

      Install the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad with the 2 clips.

    3. A017FZF

      Engage the 4 hooks.

    4. A017E00

      Connect the occupant detection sensor connector as shown in the illustration.

    5. A017EJM

      Engage the 3 clamps.

    6. Connect the connector.

      w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:


      1. Engage the 4 clamps.

      2. Connect the connector.

  3. INSTALL POWER SEAT SWITCH

  4. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY


    1. A017F3M

      Install the front seat inner belt assembly with the nut.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not allow the anchor part of the front seat inner belt assembly to overlap the protruding part of the front seat adjuster.

    2. Connect each connector and clamp.

  5. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD

      Engage the guide.

    2. A017F81

      Engage the 2 claws.

    3. Install the front seat cushion inner shield with the screw.

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD ASSEMBLY


    1. A017DTJ

      Engage the 2 claws.

    2. Install the front seat cushion shield assembly with the 5 screws.

    3. A017E6L

      Install the 2 hooks on the backside of the front seatback board sub-assembly.

  7. INSTALL SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

  15. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY


    1. Inspect the power seat operation.

    2. w/ Seat Heater System:

      Check the seat heater operation.


      1. Turn the ignition switch on (IG).

      2. Turn the seat heater switch on.

      3. Wait 5 minutes or more and confirm that the seat surface becomes warm.

  16. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)
