OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR (for Manual Seat) REMOVAL


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

    CAUTION:

    Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment Click here.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER

  4. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK COVER

  5. REMOVE REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER

  6. REMOVE REAR INNER SEAT TRACK COVER

  7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

  8. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE

  9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD

      Disengage the 2 hooks.

    2. A017D08

      Remove the 2 screws.

    3. A017BGV

      Disengage the claw and 2 guides, and remove the front seat cushion shield.

  10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect each connector and clamp.

    2. A017BZO

      Remove the nut and the front seat inner belt assembly.

  11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD

  12. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

      w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:


      1. Disengage the 4 clamps.

    2. A017F3V

      Disconnect the occupant detection sensor connector as shown in the illustration.

      Disengage the 4 hooks.

    4. A017DEI

      Remove the 2 clips and the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.

    5. Disengage each hook and remove the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.

  13. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION PAD


    1. A017DX7

      Remove the 2 hog rings.

    2. A017DIK

      Remove the 15 hog rings and separate type front seat cushion pad from the separate type front seat cushion cover.
