SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR REMOVAL

    PRECAUTION

    CAUTION:

    Be sure to read "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing (Click here).

    DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait for at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment.

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See PageClick here).

    REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE

      Disengage the 8 claws and guide, and remove the front door scuff plate LH.

  4. Click here

    DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP

      Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip LH.

  5. Click here

    REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE

      Disengage the 5 claws, 3 clips and guide, and remove the rear door scuff plate LH.

  6. Click here

    DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP

      Remove the rear door opening trim weatherstrip LH.

  7. Click here

    REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH

      Disengage the 2 claws and 2 clips, and remove the lower center pillar garnish LH.

  8. Click here

    REMOVE SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR


    1. Disconnect the connector from the side airbag sensor.

      Note:

      When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

      Remove the bolt and disengage the pin, and remove the side airbag sensor.

      Note:

      Loosen the bolt while holding the side airbag sensor because the side airbag sensor pin (stopper) is easily damaged.
