FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

    CAUTION:


    • The nuts must not be reused.

    • Make sure that the seat frame assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.


    1. A017ETG

      Install the front seat airbag assembly with 2 new nuts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

    2. Engage the 2 clamps to connect the wire harness.

  2. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD


    1. Temporarily install the front seatback cover with pad to the front seat frame assembly with adjuster.

      Engage the 4 claws and install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

    3. A017FCWE01

      Engage the hook and install the separate type front seatback cover bracket with the nut.

      Torque:
      5.6 N*m  { 57 kgf*cm, 50 in.*lbf }

      Note


      • For vehicles with side airbags, the side airbags may not activate normally unless the front seatback cover is securely installed.

      • Check that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket.

      • Install the bracket securely.

      Engage the 2 hooks.

    5. A017F1ZE01

      Using hog ring pliers, install 2 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

      Close the 2 fasteners.

    7. A017D33E01

      Using hog ring pliers, install the front seatback cover with pad with 3 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

    8. w/ Seat Heater:


      1. A017DE1

        Connect the connector and engage the 2 clamps.

  3. INSTALL AIRBAG WIRE HARNESS (for Manual Seat)


    1. A017FJL

      Engage the claw and 4 clamps to install the airbag wire harness.

    2. A017CMM

      Engage the 2 hooks.

  4. INSTALL AIRBAG WIRE HARNESS (for Power Seat)


    1. A017F2Z

      Engage the claw and 4 clamps to install the airbag wire harness.

    2. A017CMM

      Engage the 2 hooks.

  5. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

  6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  7. INSPECT SLIDE ADJUSTER LOCK (for Manual Seat)
