FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE ASSEMBLY


    1. A017EBPE01

      Connect the 2 airbag connectors.

      Note

      When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

    2. Install the clamp and instrument panel wire assembly on the front passenger airbag assembly.

  2. INSTALL FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY


    1. A017E28

      Engage the 5 hooks.

    2. A017FOK

      Install the front passenger airbag assembly with the 5 hooks on the instrument panel safety pad assembly.

    3. A017FCK

      Install the 2 screws.

  3. INSTALL NO. 4 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT


    1. A017DAC

      Install the No. 4 heater to register duct with the 3 screws <E>.

  4. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the 5 claws.

      Note

      Do not allow the wire harness to get caught in the claws.

    2. Install the 2 bolts <D> and nut <G>.

    3. Install the 2 clips.

    4. Engage each clamp.

    5. Install the 2 passenger airbag bolts <A>.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

    6. Connect each connector and install the instrument panel safety pad assembly.

  5. CONNECT INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE ASSEMBLY


    1. Check that the ignition switch is off.

    2. Check that the battery negative (-) terminal is disconnected.

      CAUTION:

      Wait for at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment.

      Connect the connector.

  6. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)
