DESCRIPTION
The driver side curtain shield squib circuit consists of the center airbag sensor assembly and the curtain shield airbag assembly (Driver side).
The circuit instructs the SRS to deploy when deployment conditions are met.
These DTCs are recorded when a malfunction is detected in the driver side curtain shield squib circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
Perform the simulation method by selecting the "check mode" (signal check) with the intelligent tester (Click here).
After selecting the "check mode" (signal check), perform the simulation method by wiggling each connector of the airbag system or driving the vehicle on a city or rough road (Click here).
PROCEDURE
CHECK CONNECTOR
Turn the ignition switch off.
Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
Check that the connectors are properly connected to the curtain shield airbag assembly (Driver side) and center airbag sensor assembly.
OK
---
The connectors are properly connected.
If the connectors are not connected securely, reconnect the connectors and proceed to the next inspection.
Disconnect the connectors from the curtain shield airbag assembly (Driver side) and center airbag sensor assembly.
Check that the connector terminals are not damaged.
OK
---
The terminals are not deformed or damaged.
Check that the wire harness connector (on the curtain shield airbag assembly (Driver side)) is not damaged.
OK
---
The lock button is not disengaged, and the claw of the lock is not deformed or damaged.

CHECK CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (DRIVER SIDE CURTAIN SHIELD SQUIB)
Connect the connector to the center airbag sensor assembly.
Connect SST (resistance 2.1 Ω) to connector C.
Never connect the tester to the curtain shield airbag assembly (Driver side curtain shield squib) for measurement, as this may lead to a serious injury due to airbag deployment.
Do not forcibly insert SST into the terminals of the connector when connecting.
Insert SST straight into the terminals of the connector.
