The rear door ECU operates the motor of the rear curtain (rear door sunshade).

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (DOOR SUNSHADE OPERATION)


    1. Select the Active Test, use the intelligent tester to generate a control command, and then check that the rear door sunshade system operates Click here.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR CURTAIN LH - REAR DOOR ECU LH)


    1. A01GLPNE01

      Disconnect the O15 ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the O16 curtain connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O16-1 (SSA-) - O15-10 (SSA-) Always Below 1 Ω
      O16-2 (SSA+) - O15-1 (SSA+) Always Below 1 Ω
      O16-3 (SHSE) - O15-30 (SHSE) Always Below 1 Ω
      O16-4 (SHSB) - O15-8 (SHSB) Always Below 1 Ω
      O16-5 (SHS2) - O15-28 (SHS2) Always Below 1 Ω
      O16-6 (SHS1) - O15-27 (SHS1) Always Below 1 Ω

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  4. INSPECT REAR CURTAIN LH


    1. A01GMTZE01

      Remove the rear curtain LH Click here.

    2. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the rear curtain LH.

      Standard
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → 2 (SSA+)

      Battery negative (-) → 1 (SSA-)

      		 Raises curtain

      Battery positive (+) → 1 (SSA-)

      Battery negative (-) → 2 (SSA+)

      		 Lowers curtain
    3. A01GKSEE01

      Reconnect the rear curtain connector.

    4. Measure the waveform according to the value(s) in the table below.
