REAR BUMPER DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE NO. 3 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE


    1. Disconnect the 4 connectors.

    2. Detach the 4 clamps and remove the No. 3 luggage room wire.

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the ultrasonic sensor clip.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to remove the ultrasonic sensor clip on the other side.

  2. REMOVE ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER

    1. Remove the 2 ultrasonic sensor retainers.

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR

      Remove the sensors from the 4 sensor retainers as shown in the illustration.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the retainer.

      • Do not forcibly remove the retainer from the bumper cover.

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER


    1. A01GNT4

      While heating the retainer using a dryer, pull the retainer lightly and remove the double-sided tape. Then remove the retainer.

      Heating temperature
      40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)

      CAUTION:

      Be careful of burns.

    2. Using a cloth or non-residue solvent, wipe off any tape residue on the bumper cover.

  5. REMOVE REAR BUMPER EXTENSION LH

    1. Remove the clip.

    2. Remove the 3 bolts and rear bumper extension LH.

  6. REMOVE REAR BUMPER EXTENSION RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  7. REMOVE LOWER REAR BUMPER COVER


    1. Remove the 8 retainers and lower rear bumper cover.

  8. REMOVE REAR BUMPER MOULDING (for Sport Package)


    1. Remove the 3 bolts.

    2. Detach the 2 claws and remove the rear bumper moulding.

  9. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PLATE LH

    1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the rear bumper plate LH.

  10. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PLATE RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  11. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the reflex reflector assembly LH.

  12. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY RH

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  13. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PROTECTOR

    Use the same procedure for both rear bumper protectors.
