HOOD SUPPORT INSTALLATION

Note


  • As much as possible avoid touching the stroke portions of the rod to prevent foreign matter from attaching to it. Be sure to hold the cylinders while servicing.

  • Do not wear cotton gloves or other similar materials when handling the rod. Fibers may attach to the rod and result in gas leaks.

  • Do not apply any load to the cylinders in the horizontal direction in order to prevent the rod from being deformed.

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. INSTALL HOOD SUPPORT BRACKET LH


    1. A01GJ6T

      Install the hood support bracket LH with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      22 N*m  { 224 kgf*cm, 16 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Install the hood support brackets while supporting the hood by hand.

  2. INSTALL BRACKET HOOD STAY LH


    1. A01GK1A

      Install the bracket hood stay LH with the bolt.

      Torque:
      22 N*m  { 224 kgf*cm, 16 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Install the hood support brackets while supporting the hood by hand.

  3. INSTALL HOOD SUPPORT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01GMLC

      Install the hood support assembly LH.

      Note


      • Install the hood support assembly while supporting the hood by hand.

      • Check that the hood support assembly is engaged in the ball joint and it cannot be pulled out.

  4. INSTALL FRONT FENDER PROTECTOR UPPER LH


    1. A01GKUH

      Attach the 3 clips to install the front fender protector upper LH.

  5. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH


    1. Install the engine room side cover LH with the 5 clips.
