DOOR CLOSER SYSTEM Rear Door Closer LH does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

The rear door ECU LH receives rear door closer LH signals, and activates the rear door closer motor LH.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK OPERATION


    1. Check the power door lock control function Click here.

      OK
      Each function of power door lock control system operates normally using master switch.

    GO TO POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM Click here

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR DOOR ECU - REAR DOOR CLOSER)

    1. Disconnect the O13 ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the O20 closer connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O13-3 (A2+) - O20-1 (CLM+) Always Below 1 Ω
      O13-4 (A2-) - O20-5 (CLM-) Always Below 1 Ω
      O13-7 (POLE) - O20-6 (POLE) Always Below 1 Ω
      O13-8 (HALF) - O20-2 (HALF) Always Below 1 Ω
      O13-9 (FULL) - O20-4 (FULL) Always Below 1 Ω
      O13-16 (INIT) - O20-3 (DLSE) Always Below 1 Ω
      O13-24 (HNDL) - O20-7 (CLP3) Always Below 1 Ω
      O13-15 (CPSE) - O20-8 (CPSE) Always Below 1 Ω
      O13-3 (A2+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O13-4 (A2-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O13-7 (POLE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O13-8 (HALF) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O13-9 (FULL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O13-16 (INIT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O13-24 (HNDL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O13-15 (CPSE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  3. INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH (REAR DOOR CLOSER LH)


    1. Remove the rear door lock LH Click here.

    2. Set the door closer to the half-latch position.

    3. Apply battery voltage to the lock motor connector and check the closer operation.

      OK
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (CLM+)

      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 5 (CLM-)

      		 Door closer operation normal

    REPLACE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH (REAR DOOR CLOSER LH) Click here

    OK

  4. CHECK REAR DOOR ECU LH (OPERATION)


    1. Temporarily replace the rear door ECU LH with a new or normally functioning rear door ECU LH Click here.

    2. Check the door closer operation.

      OK
      Door closer operation normal.
