REAR SEATBACK HEATER (for Fixed Seat Type) REMOVAL

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.


  1. REMOVE BENCH TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY

      *A w/ Seat Heater System

      Detach the 3 front hooks of the bench type rear seat cushion assembly from the vehicle body.

      Note

      Follow the instructions below carefully as the cushion frame deforms easily.

    2. Choose a hook to detach first. Place your hands near the hook. Then lift the bench type rear seat cushion assembly to detach the hook.

    3. Repeat the step above for the other hook.

    4. Detach the 2 rear hooks of the bench type rear seat cushion assembly from the bench type rear seatback assembly.

    5. w/ Seat Heater System:

      Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    6. Remove the bench type rear seat cushion assembly.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  2. REMOVE BENCH TYPE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 bolts and nut to disconnect the 3 belt anchors of the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly LH, rear seat 3 point type belt assembly RH and rear center seat outer belt assembly.

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws to open the 2 caps of the rear seat shoulder belt guide.

      Tech Tips


      • Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      • Use the same procedure to open the 2 caps on the other side.

    3. Disconnect the rear seat outer belt from the rear seat shoulder belt guide.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to disconnect the rear seat outer belt on the other side.

    4. Lower the rear center armrest assembly.

      Lower the rear center seat headrest assembly.

      Detach the 2 clips. Then detach the hook by lowering the rear seat armrest hole board, and remove it.

      w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. Remove the bolt and pull out the junction block.

      2. Disconnect the connector.

      Remove the 4 bolts and nut.

    9. Lift the bench type rear seatback assembly to detach the 2 hooks.

    10. Disconnect the rear center armrest assembly connector to remove the bench type rear seatback assembly.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  3. REMOVE REAR SEAT CENTER ARMREST ASSEMBLY

      Detach the wire harness clamp.

    2. Remove the 2 nuts and rear seat center armrest assembly.

  4. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the rear seat headrest assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to remove the rear seat headrest assembly on the other side.

  5. REMOVE REAR CENTER SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 2 bolts and rear center seat headrest assembly.

  6. REMOVE REAR SEAT ARMREST HOLE COVER

    1. Detach the 2 clips to remove the rear seat armrest hole cover.

  7. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT

    1. Detach the 4 claws to remove the 2 rear seat headrest supports.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to remove the rear seat headrest support on the other side.

  8. REMOVE REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT GUIDE LH

    1. Remove the 3 screws and rear seat shoulder belt guide LH.

  9. REMOVE REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT GUIDE RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  10. REMOVE REAR SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU LH

      Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. Remove the 2 nuts and rear seat climate control ECU LH.

  11. REMOVE REAR SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  12. REMOVE REAR SEAT WIRE RH


    1. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. Remove the 14 wire harness clamps labeled A.

    3. Detach the 2 wire harness clamps labeled B to remove the rear seat wire RH.

  13. REMOVE BENCH TYPE REAR SEATBACK COVER


    1. for LH Side:


      1. Remove the 30 hog rings and bench type rear seatback cover from the bench type rear seat seatback pad.
