FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY DISASSEMBLY

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

Note

If the seat is set down in another location after removing it from the vehicle, the seat may tilt and damage the front seat adjuster assembly LH due to the difference in shape between the left and right seat tracks.

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH


    1. A01GHJK

      Release the rubber bands of the seatback board sub-assembly LH from the front seat adjuster assembly LH.

    2. A01GLS0E01

      Remove the 3 screws.

    3. Detach the 2 claws to remove the front seat cushion shield LH as indicated by the arrows in the order shown in the illustration.

    4. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

  2. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 SEAT SHIELD SET BRACKET

    1. Remove the 2 screws and front No. 1 seat shield set bracket.

  3. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH

    1. Remove the 4 screws and front power seat switch LH.

  4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER NO. 1 CUSHION SHIELD LH (for Driver Side)

    1. Remove the 3 screws and front seat inner No. 1 cushion shield LH.

  5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER NO. 1 CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Front Passenger Side)

      Remove the 3 screws and front seat inner No. 1 cushion shield RH.

  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. Detach the 6 wire harness clamps.

    3. Detach the claw and disconnect the connector.

      Remove the nut and front seat inner belt assembly LH.

  7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD LH

    2. Detach the claw to remove the front seat inner cushion shield LH.

  8. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

    2. Detach the 2 hooks.

    3. Detach the wire harness clamp and disconnect the connector to remove the front seatback board sub-assembly LH.

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 INTERIOR ILLUMINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

      Detach the clamp.

    2. Remove the screw and No. 1 interior illumination light assembly LH.

  10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH

      Detach the 2 claws to remove the No. 6 air duct.

    2. A01GIX7

      Remove the 3 screws and disconnect the duct of the seat climate control blower LH.

    3. A01GKHN

      Disconnect the connector.

    4. A01GMGV

      Detach the 4 claws to disconnect the duct of the seat climate control blower LH.

    5. Disconnect the connector and detach the wire harness clamp.

    6. A01GKE3

      Disconnect the connector and detach the wire harness clamp.

      Disconnect the connector and detach the 2 wire harness clamps.

      Remove the 2 clips.

      Detach the hook.

  11. REMOVE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL CONTROLLER LH (CUSHION SIDE)

  12. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

      Remove the 2 clips.

    2. Disconnect the seat heater connector.

    3. for Driver Side:

        Detach the fastening tape.

      3. A01GM6R

        Detach the 10 hooks to remove the seat cushion cover with pad.

    4. for Front Passenger Side:

        Remove the 6 clips.

        Detach the fastening tape.

      3. A01GJTN

        Detach the 10 hooks to remove the seat cushion cover with pad.

    5. for Front Passenger Side:

      except Ottoman:

        Detach the 8 hooks to remove the seat cushion cover with pad.

  13. REMOVE SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01GNUE

      Detach the guide to remove the seat heater control sub-assembly LH in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

  14. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER


    1. for Driver Side:

        Remove the 2 clips.

      2. A01GMMT

        except Sport Package:

        Remove the 21 hog rings and front seat cushion cover sub-assembly from the front seat cushion pad.

      3. A01GKY4

        for Sport Package:

        Remove the 17 hog rings and front seat cushion cover sub-assembly from the front seat cushion pad.

    2. for Front Passenger Side:

      for Ottoman:


      1. A01GK91

        Remove the 2 clips.

      2. A01GMGU

        Remove the 21 hog rings and front seat cushion cover sub-assembly from the front seat cushion pad.

    3. for Front Passenger Side:

      except Ottoman:

        Remove the 2 clips.

      2. A01GNZV

        except Sport Package:

        Remove the 21 hog rings and front seat cushion cover sub-assembly from the front seat cushion pad.

      3. A01GLGO

        for Sport Package:

        Remove the 17 hog rings and front seat cushion cover sub-assembly from the front seat cushion pad.

  15. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. w/ Active Headrest, w/ Pre-crash Intelligent Headrest:


      1. A01GMEV

        Remove the 2 pins and front seat headrest assembly.

        Note

        w/ Active Headrest:

        When replacing a deployed active headrest inflator, always replace it together with the front seat headrest assembly.

    2. w/ Retractable Headrest:

      Pull up the front seat headrest assembly to remove it.

      Note

      As the front seat headrest assembly is tightly fitted to the seat, be careful not to damage the seat when removing the front seat headrest assembly.

  16. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT

    1. Detach the 4 claws to remove the 2 front seat headrest supports.

  17. REMOVE POWER SEAT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Shoulder Switch)


    1. A01GMG2

      Detach the 2 claws.

    2. Disconnect the connector to remove the power seat switch assembly.

  18. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD


    1. A01GHW3

      Remove the bolt to detach the front seatback cover bracket.

    2. A01GKQZ

      Remove the 3 clips.

    3. Detach the 9 hooks to remove the seatback cover with pad from the front seat seatback frame assembly LH.

  19. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER


    1. except Sport Package:

      Remove the 20 hog rings and separate type front seatback cover.

    2. for Sport Package:

      Detach the 4 pieces of fastening tape to remove the 20 hog rings and separate type front seatback cover.

  20. REMOVE FRONT NO. 5 SEAT SET BRACKET (w/ Shoulder Switch)

    2. Detach the 2 clips to remove the front No. 5 seat set bracket.

  21. REMOVE ACTIVE HEADREST INFLATOR (w/ Active Headrest)

      Disconnect the connector.

      Note

      When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

    2. Remove the bolt and nut.

    3. Detach the guide and 2 clamps.

    4. Turn the active headrest inflator in the direction indicated by the arrow to remove it.

  22. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST BRACKET (w/ Active Headrest)

      Detach the wire harness clamp to remove the front seat headrest bracket from the active headrest inflator.

  23. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ADJUSTER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. w/ Active Headrest:


      1. A01GIXX

        Detach the 2 wire harness clamps and disconnect the connector.

      2. A01GJNB

        Remove the 2 bolts.

      3. Detach the 2 claws and remove the headrest adjuster.

    2. w/ Pre-crash Intelligent Headrest:


      1. A01GIXX

        Detach the 2 wire harness clamps and disconnect the connector.

      2. A01GLY9

        Detach the 4 wire harness clamps and remove the 2 bolts.

      3. Detach the 2 claws and remove the headrest adjuster.

      4. A01GNWW

        Remove the screw.

      5. Detach the guide and remove the plate.

      6. A01GLQY

        Detach the 2 claws and disconnect the connector from the connector holder.

    3. w/ Retractable Headrest:


      1. A01GMMS

        Remove the 2 screws and headrest motor from the seatback frame.

      2. Remove the 4 bolts.

      3. Detach the 2 claws and remove the headrest adjuster.

      4. A01GMDL

        Detach the 2 claws and remove the motor.

      5. A01GJBP

        Detach the 2 claws and remove the cable.

      6. A01GLZC

        Remove the 2 screws and headrest stay cover.

  24. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK FRAME ASSEMBLY LH


    1. for Driver Side:


      1. A01GJL4

        w/ Active Headrest:

        Disconnect the 4 connectors and detach the 9 clamps.

      2. A01GI9F

        w/ Pre-crash Intelligent Headrest:

        Disconnect the 4 connectors and detach the 9 clamps.

    2. for Front Passenger Side:

        w/ Active Headrest:

        Disconnect the 3 connectors and detach the 9 clamps.

      2. A01GNWX

        w/ Pre-crash Intelligent Headrest:

        Disconnect the 3 connectors and detach the 9 clamps.

        w/ Retractable Headrest:

        Disconnect the 2 connectors and detach the 7 clamps.

      Remove the 4 bolts and front seat seatback frame assembly LH.

  25. REMOVE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL CONTROLLER LH (BACK SIDE)


    1. A01GHKX

      Remove the 2 screws and seat climate control controller LH.

  26. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Lumbar Support)


    1. A01GITE

      Remove the 4 bolts.

    2. Rotate the snap in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration to detach the snap from the lumbar support adjuster assembly LH.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to detach the snap on the other side.

    3. Detach the 2 claws to remove the lumbar support adjuster assembly LH.

  27. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY RH (w/o Lumbar Support)


    1. A01GIBS

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Rotate the snap in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration to detach the snap from the lumbar support adjuster assembly RH.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to detach the snap on the other side.

    3. Detach the 2 claws to remove the lumbar support adjuster assembly RH.

  28. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

      Remove the screw and reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

    2. Detach the wire harness clamp.

  30. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD

  32. REMOVE NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION PLATE

  33. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SEAT TRAVEL LINK

  35. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU LH

    1. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and front seat climate control ECU LH.

  36. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR FILTER

    1. Rotate the No. 1 air filter counterclockwise to detach the 4 claws to remove it.

  37. REMOVE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER LH

    1. Detach the 4 claws and disconnect the climate control duct.

    2. Detach the 2 wire harness clamps and disconnect the connector.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts and seat climate control blower LH.

  38. REMOVE SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR

      Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the "TORX" screw and seat position sensor with sensor protector.

    2. Disconnect the connector.

    3. A01GKAHE04

      Remove the seat slide position sensor protector from the seat position sensor.

  39. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE LH


    1. Remove the bolt.

    2. Disconnect the 4 connectors.

    3. Detach the 13 wire harness clamps to remove the front seat wire LH.
