WINDSHIELD DEICER SYSTEM SYSTEM DESCRIPTION


  1. GENERAL

    The windshield deicer system's thin heater wires are attached to the inside of the windshield glass and deice the front window surface quickly. The indicator light illuminates in the multi-display while the system is operating. The system automatically turns off after approximately 15 minutes.

  2. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENT

    Component Outline
    Front deicer switch Located on air conditioning control, detects front deicer switch operation and transmits signals to multiplex network front light ECU (front controller) through CAN line
    DEICER relay Receives windshield deicer activation request signals from multiplex network front light ECU (front controller) through air conditioning amplifier via CAN line and supplies power to front window deicer
    Windshield deicer wire Receives power from DEICER relay and heats windshield deicer wire
