DESCRIPTION

The electric power control ECU inputs the battery voltage. The electric power control ECU receives several signals and detects the battery condition, and performs load control and generator control.

  1. Open or GND short in VB+ terminal of electric power control ECU

  2. +B short or open in VB- terminal of electric power control ECU


  • VSSR fuse

  • Passenger side junction block (Electric power control ECU)

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (BATTERY VOLTAGE)


    1. Using the intelligent tester, read the Data List.

  2. INSPECT FUSE (VSSR)


    1. Remove the VSSR fuse from the engine room No. 1 relay block.

    2. Measure the resistance of the fuse.

      Standard resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      VSSR fuse Always Below 1 Ω

  3. CHECK ELECTRIC POWER CONTROL ECU (VB+ INPUT VOLTAGE)

    1. Disconnect the A69 ECU connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A69-18 (VB+) - A69-8 (VB-) Always 11 to 14 V
